Sephardic & Ladino Links

Sinagoga de Toledo

Foundation for the Advancement of Sephardic Studies and Culture       Sephardic Studies, Ladino, History of the Sephardim, Genealogy, Cultural Information

European Sephardic Institute       French site (some pages in English and Spanish); the online version of the journal, Los Muestros, is available here.

Sephardim.Com       Sephardic genealogy

SephardicGen       another Sephardic genealogy resource

Ladinokomunita       Yahoo group: a correspondence circle in Ladino. All messages must be written in Ladino (Judeo-Spanish), but if you can read Spanish, you can make out a lot of what is said. I have been a long-time "lurker" here. NB: As of late 2008, the messages are available to members only.
Lisyones de Djudeo-Espanyol       The group's Ladino language lessons are still publicly available online.

Emisión Sefardí       broadcasts in Ladino (Judeo-Spanish) from Radio Nacional de España

Harry Leichter's Sephardic Stuff       comprehensive page of links to Sephardic/Ladino websites

The Sephardi Studies Project       The Taube Center for Jewish Studies in conjunction with the Mediterranean Studies Forum are launching a new venue to explore the history and culture of Sephardi and Eastern Jewries through the same perspectives of the Mediterranean Studies Forum.

Bevis Marks Synagogue       Sephardi Synagogue and the oldest synagogue in Britain. The congregation here sings Bendigamos (Sephardic Songs of Love and Hope). Judy told me that she would love to concertize in the UK: perhaps in connection with Bevis Marks which she had never visited. The site has been completely reconstructed and has some stunning photographs of the interior.
